Hello and welcome!

Life can present various challenges, transitions, and stressors that can be overwhelming at times – perhaps you are searching for help with grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, or trauma; family conflict/parenting issues; unhealthy personal or professional relationships; child/teen with behavioral problems; or generational trauma or racial discrimination/oppression. Nspire Services acknowledges the difficulty one may have with seeking help. This may be due to historical stigmas, masculinity associated with being male, or the feeling of “needing to do it all” and not having your power acknowledged and honored as a woman.

Regardless of what led you here, congratulations on making it this far – your presence here demonstrates your power and willingness to be vulnerable. It takes courage to seek support and finding the right therapist to take this journey with you can feel overwhelming and exhaustive.

Counseling is a confidential process designed to help you address your concerns, come to a greater understanding of yourself, and learn effective personal and interpersonal coping strategies. Counseling involves sharing sensitive, personal, and confidential information that may at times be distressing. During counseling, there may be periods of increased anxiety or confusion. Therapy, counseling, and crisis intervention can have a profound impact and or on individuals and families; the work is very intensive and can be stressful. You have the option to proceed at a pace that is comfortable for you or to discontinue services. In most cases, there is improvement without unexpected problems. However, it is possible that there may be no change, disruptive change, or new problems that may arise. The outcome of counseling is often positive; however, the level of satisfaction for any individual is not predictable.
